Stocking up on food
Bigger bags of dry food usually cost less per kilogram, and Black Friday discounts can make a bulk buy worthwhile. Check the best-before date, and only buy as much as your pet will get through while it's fresh. Once opened, dry food keeps best in its original bag inside an airtight container.
Trying a new food
If a deal tempts you to switch foods, change over gradually rather than all at once. Vets generally advise mixing the new food into the old over about a week, to avoid upsetting your pet's stomach.
