Why the date changes every year
Black Friday comes from the United States, where it’s the day after Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday of November, so Black Friday always falls between 23 and 29 November.
When do UK Black Friday sales start?
Many UK retailers no longer wait for the day itself. Some start their offers in early November, and plenty run them across the whole week before Black Friday and on through the weekend to Cyber Monday. Each brand page on this site shows the offers that are live now.
