Decathlon's Black Friday sale opens to all shoppers from Monday 2 November, after a week of early access for its members. The sale started on Monday 26 October for Decathlon members, and membership is free to join.

What's in the sale
The early-access sale was small, with around 50 products when MoneySavingExpert checked: walking boots, treadmills, jackets and sports watches, including brands such as Garmin and Columbia. It should grow: last year's Decathlon sale reached more than 1,000 products. Discounts are taken off at the checkout rather than shown on every product page, so add an item to your basket to see the final price.
How big are the discounts?
Decathlon advertises up to 50% off. MoneySavingExpert's sample found discounts from 10% to 50%, with a typical saving of about 26%. Some are genuinely good: a Garmin Forerunner 965 GPS watch was £399.99 at Decathlon, against £459.99 at the next cheapest retailer.
Is it worth joining?
Membership is free, and members got the first week of Black Friday prices, so it's worth signing up before the next sale. Check the returns window if you're buying gifts, as with any Black Friday purchase.
