Why the saving varies
The full Black Friday saving doesn't appear on every hotel or departure date, and it couldn't be combined with other Virgin Holidays offers last year. Two quotes for the same destination can show very different discounts, so try a few dates and hotels before deciding the sale isn't for you.
Compare with booking separately
Virgin Holidays packages usually include Virgin Atlantic flights, and as package holidays from the UK they come with ATOL protection. If you're comparing a Black Friday package with booking flights and a hotel yourself, include luggage, transfers and seat selection in the separate total, and remember the extra protection a package gives you.
For long-haul trips, the price can rise sharply for school holidays and Christmas, so the size of the discount matters less than finding dates that work.
