Sephora UK rolled out its Black Friday offers brand by brand last year, starting on 17 November. The first wave included 30% off selected Fenty Beauty, 25% off Olaplex, Tarte and selected Laneige, and 20% off selected Kiehl's, with more brands and free gifts added as the week went on.

How Sephora's Black Friday works

Rather than one sitewide discount, each brand sets its own offer, and some only cover selected products. If there's a particular product on your list, check that it's included rather than assuming the brand's percentage applies to everything.

Free gifts with purchase have been a big part of Sephora's Black Friday, including a beauty bag with spends over a set amount and app-only codes in past years. A gift can be worth having, but only if the basket is something you'd have bought anyway.

Compare with the brand's own site

Many of the same brands run Black Friday sales on their own websites, sometimes with a bigger discount than the one at Sephora. A quick check before you pay is worth it, especially on more expensive skincare.
